It provides friendship, a hot meal and pudding, hot drinks, clothing, emergency housing advice and lots of fun. Also, day trips are organized with the summer beach trip being the most eagerly anticipated. |
Crucial to the Feast is building genuine relationship with people who are on the streets or living in need. During the week visits are made to people's homes and we help to provide fridges, cookers, and kitchen utensils. We are also getting involved in decorating people's flats.
In April 2003 a Feast was started in Woolwich, which involves the newfrontiers church in Plumstead and Woolwich Baptist church. During this process a 'Feast manual' was written, describing the process from starting a new meeting to running a good evening to taking people into the church. A copy is available from Simon Allen.
You are very welcome to visit the Feast. Please ring the King's Church Office to confirm on 020 8690 4646.
