ignite @ King's

ignite is our youth work for young people aged 8-18 (school years 4-13) that meets at King’s Church on Fridays and Sundays. ignite is split into various programmes, each with a slightly different feel but sharing the same vision to build a growing and diverse community of young people learning to love God and serve others unashamedly.

SUNDAY PROGRAMMES

iCrew is our energetic youth programme for young people in school years 4-6 (8-10yrs old) that meets on Sundays during our 5.30pm meeting.

ifive6 is our youth programme for young people in school years 5-6 (9-10yrs old) that meets on Sundays during our 9.30am and 11.30am meetings. A typical morning consists of fun and games, short talks about God, music and lots of sweets!

iD is our Sunday morning youth programme for young people in school years 7-9 (11-14yrs old) that meets on Sundays during our 9.30am and 11.30am meetings. iD is for young people who want to dig a little deeper and explore some of the big questions and issues of life. We spend time studying the Bible and looking at how it applies to everyday life.

ivibe is a fresh and vibrant new programme for young people in school years 7-9 (11-14 yrs old) that meets on Sundays during our 5.30pm meeting. A normal evening consists of games, a time of worship, a short talk on relevant issues and group discussions.

FRIDAY PROGRAMMES

ignite 11-14s is our youth work for young people in school years 7-9 (11-14yrs old). On a normal evening we have table tennis, pool, organised games, chill out and short talks and discussions on youth related issues.

ignite 15-18s is our programme for young people in school years 10-13 (15-18yrs old). Most nights consist of chill out time with friends, worship, short talks from the Bible and group discussions.

Both age groups meet at King’s Church from 8-10pm on Friday nights (term time only).

OTHER EVENTS

ignite Encounter is our Termly event on a Friday night where young people aged 11-18yrs old come together for an evening of worship and teaching.

Worship & Prayer Night is our Termly event on a Friday night we gather our young people aged 11-18yrs old for an evening of worship and prayer.

Momentum is a Termly event where we get together with other local churches. With fun activities, great times of worship and a chance to hear and respond to the Gospel, these nights are often life changing.

ignite Weekend Away is our annual trip where young people aged 11-18yrs along with the youth leaders, spend the weekend at an activity centre. We make good use of the outward bound activities as well as enjoying a talent show, worship and teaching.

Newday is an annual youth event that gathers over 6000 young people for a week of camping. We are committed to the vision of Newday, which aims to reach the nations by equipping a generation that will impact the world.
